This piece was inspired by an amazing friend Sierra. She is one of the most amazing people that I have ever had the opportunity of meeting. I asked her if I could use her amazing photograph as a reference, and I am so glad she said yes! I am incredibly proud of this piece and I am excited to share it with y'all.
It is 16x22". Completed with charcoal.
I'm Sydney Sultemeier, and my art journey began in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, where I was raised on a ranch surrounded by nature. It was here, during my early years, that I learned to love drawing the world around me. The rural landscape, the crazy personalities of animals, and the hardworking, amazing people around me have become the focal points of my artworks.
After completing my pre-med degree in Health Science Studies from Baylor University, I realized that my purpose on this earth is to be an artist. So, I am now back at school pursuing a a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in painting. I know that I am where I am supposed to be. I am learning more every day, and I cant see where this path takes me.
